Movies in Nahuatl

Update May 25, 2015:

The translation of the movie script of the JESUS film in Central Huasteca Nahuatl has been completed! Over the next few months the Aztec Ministry team will check the script and select indigenous Nahuatl speakers. We hope to record with Campus Crusade in the fall.

Update January 11, 2015:

For many years we have had the JESUS film translated and lip-synced into Eastern Huasteca Nahuatl and Western Huasteca Nahuatl, our larger language groups. My mother, Pat Beller, longed to prepare the movie in the Central Dialect before her death, but it just didn’t get done as she prioritized the completion of the large hymnal.  WE WERE THRILLED to received wonderful news in November that Campus Crusade for Christ has felt led by God to complete this great film in our Central Huasteca Nahuatl language entirely at their expense!  To God be the Glory! WAHOO! There are 250,000 speakers of the Central dialect that will be reached with this extraordinary movie of the life of Jesus Christ.  Please pray for our Central language helpers as they attends a workshop on the preparation of the script in this dialect in mid-January and then begins to complete the translation of the complete movie script in the weeks that follow.  Cesar will work with him on the editing as well. Later in the spring we will endeavor to locate male and female speakers and voices of all ages to lip-sync the movie audio with Campus Crusade for Christ staff.  Pat Beller must be rejoicing in heaven to see this dream coming together.  What a SPECTACULAR day it will be when I see and hear the Lord Jesus speaking Central Huasteca Nahuatl on the big screen!
